PCB keypads are widely used in very similar applications like membrane keypads in control-measuring equipment, industrial control systems, automotive, medical devices, household appliances. PCB as a base electronic layer enables additionally to embed many kinds of electronic components. Rigid PCB is also a supporting plate for a keypad.

PCB keypads could be based on flex or rigid PCB as a conductive layer. Upper layer could be made of silicon rubber  or polyester foil.

PCB keypads possible features:
- graphic  or rubber  overlay
- long life gold plated contacts
- embedded LED’s, other electronic components and connectors
- backlight
- EMI/RFI protection
